Welcome to Forest Moon Cottage, a peaceful family retreat tucked among the towering hardwoods of Door County. Here, you can enjoy the quiet and privacy of a wooded setting while staying just minutes from downtown Egg Harbor, the shores of Lake Michigan, and many of the restaurants, shops, beaches, parks, and attractions that make Door County such a special place to visit. It’s the perfect home base for exploring the peninsula!

About Forest Moon Cottage
Quiet. Relaxing. Secluded.
Tucked among the trees on a quiet, wooded property just outside downtown Egg Harbor, Forest Moon Cottage gives you room to spread out, slow down, and enjoy Door County at your own pace.
Inside, you’ll find three comfortable bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and plenty of space for families and groups to gather. An additional bunk room is a favorite for kids (and kids at heart), with extra sleeping space, a cozy hangout area, and its own Star Wars pinball machine.
Outside, mature hardwoods surround the property, creating a peaceful backdrop for morning coffee, evenings around the fire pit, and nights spent under the stars.
And while Forest Moon feels wonderfully tucked away, you’re only minutes from the heart of Egg Harbor. Restaurants, shops, the marina, beaches, trails, and favorite stops like Wood Orchard Market are all close by.

This home is located in a quiet community with neighbors and is geared towards quiet family vacations. Due to the proximity of neighbors and municipal restrictions, we cannot accommodate parties at the property including bachelor or bachelorette parties, reunions, weddings, or other gatherings.

“Great house with all the amenities needed, tucked away down a long private gravel road. So private, there's almost no cell service, but the internet in the house more than made up for it, and we even saw the OG Starlink dish! Garage fit 2 cars and 8 bikes comfortably for our trip to the Peninsula Century. The house had everything we needed, we'd definitely stay here again next season!”
